Spurs chances of a top four finish

The big question for many Spurs fans at present will be if the side can secure a Champions league spot for next season. Harry Kane has been ruled out for the season due to injury, which is further adding to the difficult task at hand for the side. Despite this, they still remain in the hunt for the top four and are around 5/1 to do so, putting them behind the likes of Leicester, Chelsea and Manchester United in the market. This has led to many using the Dafabet coupon code on Spurs, which look to be good value to finish in those important Champions league places come the end of the season.

Following the opening 23 matches played, Spurs have won eight, drew eight and lost eight. This means they have picked up 31 points from a possible 69 and are eight points behind fourth placed side Chelsea. This is a very poor return for a side as good as Tottenham, who have finished in the top four for each of the last three seasons. This started with a second placed finish in the 2016/17 season behind winners Chelsea. They then followed this up with a third placed finish behind Manchester City and United. Tottenham then just made the top four last season, beating rivals Arsenal by a point.

At present, Tottenham are behind the likes of Sheffield United, Wolves, Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City in the battle for the top four. Both Liverpool and Manchester City are very much likely to finish in the top two places, as they did last season with the former all but set to land their first Premier league title.

Tottenham are just two points behind the seventh placed side Sheffield United, who are having a remarkable first season back in the top flight following their promotion last season. The pair face off on the 4th of April, which will be another very important fixture for both sides in their quest for European football with the previous encounter finishing 1-1. Wolves are then in sixth position and a further point ahead. They now have a very difficult run of games, which is set to define their season. This includes consecutive Premier league fixtures against Liverpool, Manchester United and then Leicester City.

Manchester United are also on 34 points and are looking much improved in recent weeks. This is following their very poor form at the start of the season and they could just surprise many to clinch a top four finish. Chelsea are then five points ahead of United and in a prime position for a top four finish. The real surprise package this season has been Leicester City. They have been in flying form and are a further six points ahead of Chelsea. Leicester have now lost three of their last five games but still remain strong favourites to finish in the top four.
