Gooner George – his record on the road with Tottenham

Let me make it clear that I want Gooner George out for reasons other than he is a goon scumbag – he is making us shite. Our regression in 2000 has been disturbing but one feature of the no good goon’s tenure that has remained consistent, is our poor performance away from home

I used to love hearing fans on away trips say things like “I always try and make it for the Tottenham game, as they are invariably entertaining”. We may not have as many championships as our premier role in English football would warrant, but this was an ample substitute

But we have become awful and uncompetitive under Gooner George:

Spurs away record under Gooner George:

Spurs away record under Christian Gross:

Spurs away record under MulletHead:

This goes to prove that GG has underachieved in all respects – points and goals per match, plus the ratio of matches won.

His record is also dismal against our proud tradition, which he is only to keen to rubbish. Since season 80/81 to the current day, all league away matches - p401 w120 d113 L168 – with a healthy 30% win ratio and 1.18pts per match. The 1980's away from home topped this with p194 w63 d53 l78 32% win ratio & 1.24pts per match and while this dipped (although not to George levels) during the 1990's  (away from home) p207 w57 d60 l90

27% 1.11pts per match

Gooner George has performed better than most managers in the 90’s at home, but well below the 1980’s average, but that is not the issue – his shite tactics have made his Spurs teams the worst in living memory in half of their matches

George  - the door is that way and take Euston with you
