Signed from Real Vallecano on a Bosman on 15th August 2001
(Aug 04)Some moderate displays and the signing of Robinson has seen Keller end his 83 game consecutive run in the first team and he looks very much number 2 after the outstanding start made by Robinson, but as a backup is not bad to have around the squad (although he does not seem to relish this role)
(Jan 04) He sometimes has matches where he makes good saves but more often than not is a liability and costs Spurs too many goals. A point not lost on Dean Richards who went to smack him in the 4-0 defeat at Newcastle. If we are to progress, we need better than him as first choice keeper
(Season Preview 02/03) I quite like Keller and thought he had a pretty decent season last season, but the more you ask around about him you realise opinion is pretty divided on him. Unfortunately for Keller the opinions range from being content with him (as I am) to people who really don't rate him, with no one really convinced he is top notch. More than two goals a game conceded in the second half of last season is not good but Keller can hardly be faulted for what he did last season and is a decent enough keeper to take us up the league if he has competent a midfield and defence in front of him.
(Sept 02) Has been a revelation so far this season, showing form well above what we thought he was capable of and now looks firmly our first choice keeper & long may his good form continue
(End of season Report 01/02)  Has had a good season when stepping in for Sully and appears to be a genuine contender for the number one jersey after appearing to be just a cheap bit of cover after we sold Walker last summer.
(Jan 02) Returned to the bench at Ipswich after an indifferent performance against Chelsea in the League cup and has gone to play in an International tournament for the USA (where he saved a penalty in his first match). Although I like Keller and think he has done ok when given the chance, Keller as cover for Sully is the best thing for Spurs
(Dec 01) Finally got the nod at Villa and turned in an excellent display
(Dec 01) The injury was not as bad as feared and Keller returned to the bench at Charlton. Given Sully's shaky form it is good to know we now have proper cover for the goalkeeping position instead of Beasant
(Nov 01) Injured - an will be out well into the new year
(Sept 01) Given an outing against Torquay in the League cup but had little to do, and remains a good deputy to Sully
(Aug 01 - Season 2001/02 Expectations) Keller will be an excellent back up to Sully, and with him in reserve we are safe in the knowledge that he will not let us down. An excellent signing.
(Previous Notes) Kasey Keller Signed for Tottenham on 13th August 2001 (subject to a medical) on a Bosman after Spurs nipped in later to lure him away from Besiktas. Keller had played a couple of seasons in La Liga with Real Vallecano, after enjoying a sucessful time in the UK with Leicester and originally Millwall. Not a worldbeater, but a good goalkeeper in his own right, and great cover for Sully. Judging by the comments on the Real Vallecano message board, he still retains all his ability and he becomes another excellent signing during Hoddle and ENIC's first pre-season
